Valentine's Card ~ Love You to Pizza's

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends,

Have you ever been in a position that you need to create a card fast and don't have time to cut all the pieces of the file out, ink them and put them all together.   Well that's one nice thing about the KaDoodle Bug Designs (KBD) because the files you purchase or get from the "Freebie of the Week", you not only get a SVG file but you also get jpg files of all the images which you can print and then cut them out fairly easily and quickly

I was in that position last week.  I was crazy busy at work so when I get home I was just too tired to spend a lot of time on making a Valentine's Day card for my hubby.   I knew I had to use the KBD Love You to Pizza's file because we both love pizza and almost have it once a week.

So I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the adorable pizza and title from this file.

To use the jpg, I open it in my Silhouette Design Studio software, trace it using the tracing tool and then crop it to remove the white background.   I then offset it to put a little white border around the image select to cut that offset line, group the image and the offset line.  I then changing my cutting format to Print and Cut and print on my printer.  After it prints, I put it on my mat and cut it out on my Cameo.    NOTE:  YouTube has a bunch of fabulous videos to show you how to use the trace feature if you have the Silhouette Design Studio software and haven't used it before

I accented the cute little pizza with white Gelly Roll pen and I accented the title with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen.    Used a deep red card stock for the base of the card, stripped paper for the mat and used a die cut to cut out the polka dotted mat.   Added the title and little pizza guy and I was done.

Easy Peasy and here's the finished card.

Oh and I had to put him on an Action Wobble.

Hubby got a chuckle out of this card and I hope you did to0.

Happy Thursday Evening Crafters

I took today and tomorrow off work so I could sit in my craft room all day and create.

I see my crafty friends make projects for challenges but I typically don't get any projects created in time so it was so nice to spend all day crafting and creating cards that will meet some challenges.

Here are the two cards I made.

2nd Project introducing Scrappy Moms Stamps New January Stamp Release

Happy Monday Crafters,

Today, I'm sharing with you a second project I made for the Scrappy Mom's January fun release.   For this card I used the fun new "You are my Everything 2!" stamp set.

I love margaritas so when I saw the "Salt to my Margarita" I had to make a card with this sentiment.

A few close up pictures.

For the image I used the Margarita Glass Chihuahua from KaDoodle Bug Designs Aye Chihuahua file.  I used the jpg and did a print and cut using my Silhouette Cameo.  I then accented it with some stickles and a gel pin for the limes, glossy accents on the margarita glass, and chunky glitter on the rim of the glass as salt.   For the card base I used an easel card I purchased from the Silhouette store.

I wanted to add a salt shaker along side my margarita glass but didn't have one in my SVG library so I created one by taking a salt shaker image and traced it in my Silhouette software and changed it a bit. I used chunky glitter for the salt on the inside.  Wish I would have put it on white paper then added it to the salt shaker because I think it would've looked more like salt but I think it turned out pretty good despite that little mix up.  I used the packaging that Scrappy Mom Stamps stamp sets come in to cut out the main part of the salt shaker to put over the chunky glitter to make it look like glass which is hard to see in the photos.

Please check back later this week for another project I'll be sharing utilizing a stamp from one of these fun new stamp sets.

In addition please check out my fellow Scrappy Moms Stamps design team sister's blogs as well as our guest designer Sarah from Sarah's Stamping and Stuff though out the week to see what they are creating.  Links to their blogs can be found on my left side bar.
