Valentine Cards

Happy Thursday Evening Crafters

I took today and tomorrow off work so I could sit in my craft room all day and create.  

I see my crafty friends make projects for challenges but I typically don't get any projects created in time so it was so nice to spend all day crafting and creating cards that will meet some challenges.

I made these Valentine's cards I'm sharing with you today for these Challenges.

• Both Candy Hearts files were used to made the paper on the middle mat behind the circle.
• On the Cute Valentine Kitty card I used the Scrappy Moms Stamps Designers Choice 2 stamp set.
• On the Bird Love card I used a sentiment from the Srappy Moms Stamps For the Birds stamp set
• Crystal hearts from my stash.
• White Gelly Roll Pen for accents.

For my project I used the KBD Cutie KaToodles - Rooster and put it on an action wobble.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps For the Birds stamp set.  The background mat  was embossed with Darice Honey Comb Embossing folder and inked by white ink.

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge ~ For the Birds

Happy Tuesday Crafters

It's time for the New Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday "FOR THE BIRDS" Challenge!

This challenge is to make a bird related project that incorporates a Scrappy Mom Stamp.  
Let you're creative imaginations flow and link your project up over on the Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog.

For this challenge I created a birthday card.   

I used the "Shake Your Tail Feathers" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "For the Birds!" stamp set on the outside of my card.  On the inside of my card I used "Happy Birthday to You!" from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "Hooray for Birthdays!" Set and "Hope you day soars with happiness" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "For the Birds!" stamp set.  

I thought about using a cute song bird for this challenge but decided to switch gears and use a bird that is different but fun.

Other Elements used in the making of this birthday card:

• Flamingo and Sun from the KaDoodle Bug Designs "Paradise Found" file. 
• Flamingo eye and face on the sun is from Peachy Keen PKSC-28 April 2014 set.
• Cuttlebug Happy Birthday Embossing Folder.
• Water is from the Silhouette Store "wave border set" - Design #45725 reduced to fit the mat. 
• White Gelly Roll Pen and Metallic XPGB-M#529 Pen.

Scrappy Moms Stamps Design Team Member

Scrappy Moms Stamps New Stamp Release

Happy Friday Crafters,

This is my first release as Scrappy Moms Stamps Design Team member and I thrilled to help introduce the two new extraordinary stamp sets that are being released today.  

The two new sets are:

"For the Birds!" and "You are my Everything 2!".  

 For my first card in the release I chose to use a sentiment from 

"For the Birds!" stamp set. 

Here is my finished card:

When I saw the sentiment "Hope your day soars with Happiness" 

several images and ideas went through my mind.   

I settled on the hot air balloon idea because there are several mornings as I'm driving to work I enjoy seeing hot air balloons soaring in the sky.   

I decided to go out of my comfort zone and used multiple pattern papers instead of just one or none at all and was pleased how it turned out.  

I think I'll use it for a birthday card.  

I hope you enjoyed my first card utilizing one of the sentiments from one of the two stamps sets from the Scrappy Moms Stamps January Stamp Release.
