Thankful for Your Kindness Card

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's been several months since i've been able to spend time in my craft room and this weekend I finally had some free time.   Happy to say that I was able to create a bunch of cards from images I print and cut a long time ago and had sitting in a bin on my desk.

I decided to use the
to get my creative ideas flowing.
Just love how this challenge jump started my creative void.

Here is my final card.
Details on what I used to create this card is listed below the picture.

Card Recipe:
  • A2 Card
  • Red & White pattern paper is from the Stamps of Life "Always Collection" 6"x6" paper pad that I received in one of the Kit Club boxes I get on a monthly basis.   Sorry I don't remember which month I received it.
  • Midnight blue paper and the flowers with gems are also from the Stamps of Life that I received in one of the Kit Club boxes.
  • Midnight blue paper embossed with Darice A2 Flower Frenzy Embossing Folder
  • Yellow paper from my scrap stash.
  • Sentiment is from the Stamps of Live October 2017 Kit Club box.
  • Image is from KaDoodle Bug Designs - Cutie KaToodles Sunflower Peeker Bear ~~~ I used the png file to print and cut it out.
  • Behind the Cutie KaToodles Sunflower Peeker Bear I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Picot Edge Circles #S4.345
    • Cut the center out using Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Small #S4-116 so the flowered patterned paper would show behind the bear.
I think there's a little time to enter the Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge.

Coffee Skunk Thanks a Latte Card

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing with you a project I made with the cute KaDoodle Bug Designs Coffee Skunk file. Which by the way is available for free for a short period of time.

KaDoodle Bug Designs is a Super Sponsor of the Coffee Loving Card Makers 2017 Summer Bloghop and I'll be entering this card on their blog.

For today's card I chose to use the jpg from the Coffee Skunk file so I could quickly print and cut instead of the svg and putting together the pieces.
I love that the KBD files have the jpg and svg files so you can use either one depending on what you want to do.

I decided to create my own pattern paper using the sun from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Coffee Skunk file to tie into the sun on the coffee mug and the larger sun I stamped my sentiment on.

Because I was using the print and cut feature in my Silhouette Design Software I grabbed the sun from the Coffee Skunk svg file and then I filled it with a gradient color.  After I got the yellow and orange how I wanted it, I reduced the sun and copied them in a row.  I group the row and copied and placed them where I wanted them.  I also made them hang over the edges of the blue rectangles so they would look like a random pattern when it was cut out.

Here is a picture of what my screen looked like and on the right is the color window and the gradient panel to show you how I used this to fill in my sun.

Here is another print shot showing you my cut lines.

Here is my completed card.
Used a couple of the coffee bean trios and a coffee bean paper piece from another coffee project to make a coffee bean bow on the upper right hand side of my card.
Use the larger sun to stamp my sentiment from Jaded Blossom Stamps.

Here's a close up.
Don't know if you can see it but I printed and cut out a second Coffee Skunk and then fussy cut the skunk and beans away from the cup and then glued them on top of that area on the complete Coffee Skunk to give it some dimension.  Also used Gelly Roll pens to add some accents to the printed image to give him some dimension.    The I used pop dots to put him on my card and added a pop dot to another trio of coffee beans and added it to the bottom.

This card will be entered in the Coffee Loving Card Makers 2017 Summer Bloghop and on their Instagram page using #summer2017clh

Hope you like my card and me showing you how I created my pattern paper.
Thanks for stopping by.

Bicycle Thank You Card

Happy Friday Crafters,

It's time for a new PDE Linky Party Challenge.

This week's challenge is #176 Cards.  Optional Theme: One Layer

I don't know about you but I don't think I could ever create a card with one layer which I guess is why it's a challenge.   Well unfortunately the card I'm sharing with you today has multiple layers.  :)

I made this card to give to my family and friends who supported me when I was raising money for the American Diabetes Tour de Cure ride I was participating in back in May to let them know how much I appreciated their donations.

Card Recipe:
  • Standard A2 Card
  • Blue background embossed ties Darice Scroll Background A2 Embossing folder.
    • Took my Stampin' Up white ink pad and gently dragged it across the embossed paper to make the swirl look like clouds.
  • Grassy hillside made by using Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders
  • Road made with Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders
  • Bicycle is Miss Kate Cuttables from the 5/7/17 freebie.
    • Use the "bicycle-together.svg" file and changed the color to purple and printed then cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo.
    • Put some score tape on white scrap paper, Cut to the size of the basket plus a little extra on top and in front.  Peeled the protective back and put it behind the basket with the sticky side facing the holes in the basket.   Added Lavender Flower Soft to the sticky portion and rubbed in to make sure it stuck to all the sticky parts.
  • Balloon is from Jaded Blossom Birthday Dies
  • Sentiment stamped on balloon is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Simply Said stamp set.
I would love to be inspired by what you create for this challenge or the Optional Theme portion of this challenge.   Link up your project over at the PDE Linky Party blog by clicking HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - So Thankful for You

Happy Tuesday Crafters,

With Thanksgiving around the corner we take a little extra time to think of all the things we're thankful for and it's a perfect theme for the new Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge.
The theme for this challenge is - So Thankful for You.
Photobucket

For my project I chose to use the "Thankful for you!" sentiment from
the Scrappy Moms Stamps "A Holiday to Remember" stamp set.
One of the things I'm Thankful For is my Crafty Friends and followers.

  • "Thankful for you!" sentiment from the Scrappy Mom's Stamps "A Holiday to Remember stamp set
  • Turkey is from KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutie KaToodles - Turkey.  Used the jpg and did a ring and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.
  • Leaf sequins are from my craft stash.  Don't remember where I got them from.
  • Card layout design is from Mojo Monday 423
  • All the mats were printed and then cut out on my Silhouette.

KaDoodle Bug Designs "Tag" Challenge

Hello Crafters,

Today I'm sharing with you a tag I made for the KaDoodle Bug Designs "Tag" Challenge going on right now.   (Note: This challenge ends tomorrow Thursday, April 16, 2015)

My tag is a thank you tag for a friend who did something super special for me that touched me deeply and I wanted to let her know how much it touched me.

For my tag I embellished it with a doggie from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Thank You Birthday Dogs file with out the party hat.   The doggie is holding a label punched with the Stampin' Up Decorative punch.  The paw print ribbon and paw stickers were a birthday gift from another sweet friend and thought they added the purrfect touch to the tag.

For the tag on the inside I used a sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps Simply Said! stamp set and used the paw print stickers as a pull.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you can find time to create a tag using one of the fabulous KaDoodle Bug Designs to join us in this challenge over at https://www.facebook.com/groups/256722621153463/

Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - We Belong Together

Happy Tuesday Crafters

Are you ready for the New Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge?

This challenge is to make a project that has items that go together such as socks/shoes, PG&J, burger & fries, etc. that incorporates a Scrappy Mom Stamp.

Let you're creative imaginations flow and link your project up over on the Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog.

For this challenge I created two cards.

My first card is a thank you card incorporating the "Sew Thoughtful" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "The Charmed Life!" stamp set.
I thought a sewing machine, and sewing accessories belong together and were perfect for this sentiment and challenge.

Thank You Card other Elements:

  • Images from the Silhouette store
    • Sewing Machine - Split Sewing Machine Title Design #73744
    • Pin Cushion Design #43728
    • Needle & Thread Design #17205
    • Modified the Thimble from Sewing Charms Design #16889
My second card for this challenge is a little quirky.  I used the "Let's Veg-Out" sentiment from the same Scrappy Moms Stamps "The Charmed Life!" stamp set that I used for the Thank You card above.  Tomatoes, Carrots and Corn love vegging out together.

Let's Veg-Out Card other Elements:
  • KaDoodle Bug Designs "Making Vegetable Soup" file which is retiring soon.
    • Used the jpgs and print and cut feature with my Silhouette Cameo.
  • Crinkle Ribbon is from 3griljam Caribbean Splash bundle
  • Glitter paper from DCWV 6.5"x4.5" The Brights Cardstock Matstack with Glitter I received as a gift for my birthday.
Make sure you stop by the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog for details on when the challenge ends and to link up your "We Belong Together" project.   Looking forward to see what you create.

Also make sure you stop by my creative design team sisters blogs to see what they created for this challenge.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge~ Sugar Rush (anything sweet)

 Happy Tuesday Crafters,

I'm super excited to post my first Scrappy Mom's TTC Challenge project as one of the new design team members. This week's challenge is to make a project with anything sweet on it and incorporating a Scrappy Mom stamp.

When flipping through my Scrappy Mom stamps to get inspiration and to decide what project to make, I came across the “That was so Sweet of you!” sentiment from the What Can I Say? Stamp set and I knew it would be perfect for Thank You cards I needed to make.

Here is my finished project.

To create this card I used:
  • Scrappy Moms What Can I Say? stamp set
    • http://scrappymoms-stamps-store.blogspot.com/2012/05/form-target-img-alt-border0-srchttpswww.html
  • The monster is from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Christmas Monster set.   I used one of the sitting monsters and modified it a bit.  Didn’t want my monster to have the antler headband.  :)
    •   http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=573

We hope you head over to the Scrappy Mom's blog, http://www.scrappymoms-stamps.blogspot.com, to join in on the challenge.  Link up your project on the Scrappy Mom’s blog for your chance to win a stamp set of your very own.

Thanks for stopping by.
