PDE Linky Party #153 - Anything Goes

Happy Friday Crafters,

Today starts a new PDE Linky Party Challenge    

This week it's to make any project.  Can be whatever creation you make.

For those of you that know me or have followed my Facebook and Blog the past year or so, you know that every Christmas I try to come up with something creative to give money to my nieces, nephews and godchildren.   So today for the "Anything Goes" challenge I'm sharing with you what I made for them this year.   My nieces and nephews really got a kick out of them.   My godchildren won't get them until tomorrow so I'm hoping they don't see this blog post. :)

This year I decided make pizza out of money for their gift.   
Saw this idea on Pinterest but of course I had to make my own pizza box and add my own personal touch to them.   

This is the picture I saw on Pinterest that gave me the inspiration for my Christmas gift idea.

When they opened it, this is what they saw.

I had to fold the money to look like pizza slices with pizza crust and used a few pennies for pepperoni toppings.

A big thank you to my hubby for folding a majority of these bills for eleven pizza boxes.  

Pizza Box Recipe:

• Pizza Box from Silhouette Design Store - Design ID # 61145
• Pizza Box was printed with snowflake digi paper from Little Scraps of Heaven Cozy Sweater Penguin digi kit
• Pattern Paper used for half circles are from the Prettygrafik PS643 Ginger Snap digital paper pack. 
• Plaid paper behind half circles is from the Prettygrafik PS524 Bake Sale Treats digital paper pack. 
• Boy & Girl Peeking Elves are from Miss Kate Cuttables.   I used the jpg and used my Silhouette Cameo's print and cut feature. 
• Click HERE for Boy Elf.   
• Click HERE for Girl Elf. 
• The tag under their hand is from the Silhouette Design Store - Design ID #52794.   
• I used a digi paper to fill in the tag and then added the "Pannell Christmas Pizza, Made with Fresh Dough" and once again used the Silhouette Cameo's print and cut feature.

PDE Linky Party #152 - NO Cards

Happy Friday Crafters,

I'm excited to post my first project as a PDE Linky Party Design Team member.     

This week it's to make any project that isn't a card.   
Now this type of challenge is kinda difficult for me because I tend to gravitate towards always making cards. 

Lucky for me this NO Card Challenge is close to Christmas so I took the opportunity to make Christmas treat bags for some of my co-workers who have a good sense of humor.   
Handed them out at our company Christmas lunch a week ago and they loved them.    

RECIPE:

• Treat Topper -- I used SVG Cutting File Ornate Card - Chunky Card Base and Base Inserts -- changed size from an A2 card to 5.296" high x 3.509" side to fit the top of the treat bag.  
• Angry Elf Boss from Paper Piecing by Nicki (PPBN) -- Printed and then cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  
• Sentiment from Jaded Blossom Bah Humbug Stamp Set
• Hersey Nuggets decorated with address labels.  I printed them with a holly digital paper from Little Scraps of Heaven Delights Smore Snowman digital kit then I stamped them with a couple of candy stamps from Jaded Blossom Christmas Candies
• Bag is from Jaded Blossom -- 3"x4" Clear Bags

Christmas Candy/Money Holder Gifts

Hello Crafters,

Every year I try to come up with a unique way to give our niece, nephews and godchildren their Christmas gifts.   Because they are older we give them money but I can’t just put it in an envelope and give it to them.   Noooo I have to do something crazy or fun for them.  

This is where I sometimes turn to Pinterest to help me come up with ideas.  

This year I made money holders and I put the money under a chocolate bar.  I put the money holder in a tin from the dollar store and then zip-tied the tin with I don’t know how many zip ties.  I purchased the zip ties from Harbor Freight when they were having a good sale on them.  

The money holder is from the Silhouette Store Design #52345 which I modified a bit. 

The images, except Snoopy, are from the Silhouette Store.  They are print and cut files.   I accented them with my Wink of Stella Clear brush pen and my white gelly roll pen. I also offset them to cut out a shadow to put behind them to make them stand out a little more against the pattern paper.

I was going to cut the end of the zip ties but hubby said leave them because it makes them look more menacing.     

They had a good laugh when I handed them out and made a contest out of it to see who could get the tin out first without cutting the zip ties.   I really wish I recorded it on video because our nephew’s fiancé was so fierce and pulled the zip ties apart.

Scrappy Mom Stamps June Stamp Release & KaDoodle Bug Designs Christmas in July Challenge

Hello Crafters~

Today is the start of the new KaDoodle Bug Designs bi-weekly challenge and I'm the one hosting it.   My favorite time of year is Christmas.  I love all the decorations and making little gifts to give to my friends.   Christmas is just under 6 months away, so the new challenge is to make any project with a KaDoodle Bug Designs file and share it with us on the KaDoodle Bug Designs Challenge Facebook page.  

For my project I made a Christmas box with the Santa Feet from KaDoodle Bug Designs "Christmas Feet" file sticking out of the chimney and accented it with the "Have a very Merry Christmas" sentiment from the brand new "Writing on the Wall" stamp set by Scrappy Moms Stamps.

More Starbucks Jars

Happy New Years Eve~
Sharing the other set of Starbucks jars I made as Christmas gifts for my nieces/nephews/godchildren.  All of them have Jaded Blossom stamps and I'm posting them so I can enter them in the Jaded Blossom's Create Anything December challenge that ends tonight at 11:59 PST.   The tags were stamped with some of the stamps from their Christmas Poop and Snowman Poop stamp sets.

Christmas Gift Idea - Recycled Starbucks Frappuccino Bottle

Hello Crafters,
For my first posted project on my blog I would like to share the Christmas presents I made for my nieces/nephews/godchildren this year.   They are all older now and so they get the "boring" cash, but I can't just give them their "boring" cash in a envelope.  I have to come up with a fun and creative way to give it to them and every year they wonder what auntie it going to do.   
This year I decided to hide the money by candy in a recycled Starbucks Frappuccino bottle.  I used the cute reindeer from KaDoodle Bug Designs Deck the Halls file to decorate the bottle.  

Filled the bottle 2/3 of the way with M&M's or Milk Duds and then took a roll of money placed in a plastic treat bag in the center so the candy surrounded the money and couldn't see it.  

I stamped some of the tags with one of the fun sayings from the Jaded Blossom's Reindeer Poop Stamp set and tied it to the bottles with the Milk Duds. For the bottles with the red M&M's I typed a poem I found on Pinterest and did a print and cut tag.
