KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutie KaToodles~Teacup Panda Birthday Card

Hello Crafters

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for my best friend's birthday.

We have a history of bears and tea so I picked the KaDoodle Bug Designs
Cutie KaToodles~Teacup Panda.  Cut the cup three times to create a stack of cups to correlate with the sentiment "Hope your birthday Stacks Up!" from the Scrappy Moms Stamps Mom's Diner set.

Here it is....

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge Animals Animals Everywhere & May 2015 Stamp Release

Happy Tuesday Crafters

(For the Die Cutting Diva's Guest Designer for their Must Include a Flower Challenge click here.)

Today starts a new Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge which is Animals Animals Everywhere.

I'm so thrilled that I was able to incorporate the New May 2015 Scrappy Moms Stamps with this challenge.

I fell in love with the "Holy Cow...I forgot your birthday" sentiment from the Party Animal Set. Lately it seems as if I'm falling behind on sending birthday cards out on time and this sentiment is utterly perfect for a missed birthday.   I paired this sentiment with the adorable Cutie KaToodles-Girl Cow from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

Die Cutting Diva's Guest Designer for their Must Include a Flower Challenge - Scent-sational Birthday Card

Hello Crafters

(For the 5/19/15 Scrappy Moms Stamps TTC Animal Challenge click here.)

I'm ecstatic that I get to be the Guest Designer for Die Cuttin' Diva's "Must Include a Flower Challenge" that starts today.

For this challenge I chose to use the adorable skunk from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutie KaToodles - Flower Skunk  file because she's surround by pretty flowers and thought it would make a scent-sational birthday card.

I love paper piecing but with working full time I sometimes don't have time to cut and put the little pieces together, which is why I love it when KaDoodle Bug Designs files have jpgs as part of their file options.

I pulled the KaToodle Skunk jpg into my Silhouette Studio Designer Software, trace it, crop it to remove the white area around it, and then offset it to get a little white border around the image.   Once I got that done, I printed it and then put it through my Silhouette Cameo to cut it out.    Of course my image has to have a shadow behind it to help it pop form the pattern paper behind it so I use the offset option again to create it.

Below are pictures of the final project.

It's an easel card :)

Of course I had to put her on an action wobble.

Pulled the top back so you could see it the skunk and sentiment together.

Close up of the sentiments I used.

Card Recipe:
  • Sentiments from Scrappy Moms Stamps Hooray for Birthdays and Furry Friends stamp sets.
  • Image is from KaDoodle Bug Designs Cutie KaToodles - Flower Skunk  file
  • Used Gelly Roll pens to add some accents.
  • Scallop Easel Card from the Silhouette Store Design #43211
  • Bling from my stash.
  • Digital paper that I think but not 100% sure is from Prettygrafik.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
I hope you enjoyed the card I made for the Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge.  You can join their challenge by clicking here

I love reading all your sweet comments.

KaDoodle Bug Designs Graduation Challenge - May 15th thru May 18th, 2015

Happy Friday Crafters

For the Scrappy Moms Stamps May 2015 New Stamp Release click here.

I'm hosting the KaDoodle Bug Design bi-weekly challenge that is starting today over at the KBD Challenge Facebook page.   The challenge for the next two weeks is any graduation project made with KaDoodle Bug Design file.

For my graduation project I made a card for my nephew's fiancé who just graduated from dental school.

I used the PTC Cutie KaToodles -Graduation Owl that is currently free and the Toothy Fairy Set because it had to have some dental elements.

Ready for a bunch of pictures of the final card?   Here you go.   Scroll down to see all the other items I used to make this card.

Had to have the owl carry a toothbrush.

So you can see how I popped up all the layers.

Wish I would've put a shadow behind the tooth's to help them show up more.

Card Recipe:
  • Images are  from KaDoodle Bug Designs PTC Cutie KaToodles -Graduation Owl, that is currently free, and the Toothy Fairy Set

Scrappy Moms Stamps May 2015 Stamp Release

Happy Friday Crafters,

So thrilled to share with ya'll
the two new fantastic Scrappy Moms Stamps sets
being released today.

The two new sets are:

"Designers Choice 2" and "Party Animals"

I love all the Scrappy Moms Stamps Sets but I'm super excited about the Designers Choice 2 because we were able to put in suggestions on sentiments we wanted to have and Melanie picked from all our suggestions for this set.  Thanks Melanie so much for allowing us to have a say in what sentiments you included in this set.  Had so much fun making suggestions.
In addition to being excited about the Designers Choice 2 set I'm also excited about the Party Animals set because I love putting animals on my cards so it will be on the top of my list of sentiment sets to reach for when I'm creating my projects.  :)

For my first project of course I had to use a sentiment
from the Designer's Choice 2 set.  :)
I chose the "Thought you might need a little Pick-Up!" sentiment when it popped in my head that it would be tremendously adorable being pulled by Mater.

I think the two together will make anyone having a bad day smile.

Please make sure to check out what remarkable projects
my design team sisters and our special guest designer
the fabulously talented Melissa fromM.Miranda Creations - liketocreate.blogspot.com made for this magnificent stamp release
