Owl Birthday Card

Happy Monday Crafters,

Today I'm sharing with you an owl birthday card I made where I used my ebrush for shading a majority of my paper pieces.    Yes it has purple.  Can't seem to craft without using purple.  Maybe I should change my blog title to "Extremely Addicted to Purple" :)

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Halloween

Happy Tuesday Crafters,

Today starts the new Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Halloween

Photobucket

This project is a little special to me because my 20 year old son sat down next to me before his band mates came over for band practice and helped me design it on the computer.  He helped me pick out the images to use and told me that I should use purple for the haunted house windows and openings instead of yellow and he helped me pick out digital paper for the mats.  Then he was off to the garage for band practice and I was off to my craft room to bring our creation to life.  I love how it turned out.

Here is a picture of my project:

Sour Patch Kids Birthday Card

Hello Crafters,

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for a friend who loves Sour Patch Kids.
I found a Sour Patch Kid image on google images that I could trace and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.   Used stickles with a paint brush to make the image sparkly and then I used the stickles around the edges for a thick border.

Card Recipe:
  • "To the Sweetest of the Sweet" sentiment from the Scrappy Mom's Stamps "Whimsical Wordsstamp set
  • Banner from the Silhouette Store - Banners Curved Samantha Walker ~ Design #43883 - Modified to fit sentiment.
  • Gumdrop brads from my stash.
  • Sentiments inside card:

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you liked my Sour Patch Kid birthday card.
Have a fabulous week.

Big Bang Birthday Card

Hello Crafters,

I love the Big Bang Theory TV show and Sheldon’s attempt at humor and then says “BAZINGA” so I knew I had to used an image of him with a sentiment I used from Scrappy Moms Stamps Fan-tastic stamp set.

Card recipe is below.

Here is my card.

·     Card Recipe:
  • Sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps “Fan-tastic” stamp set and embossed with white embossing powder.
  • Sheldon is from Google Images.   I saved in to my computer then pulled in into my Silhouette software to trace it, offset it to give it a small white border, printed it out on my printer and then cut it out  on my Silhouette Cameo for the card.
  • The science symbol strip of paper is from the Silhouette Store called Weird Science Design #41831
  • I used the beaker stamp from the Scrappy Moms Stamps Fan-tastic" stamp set to create a background on the blue paper.
  • Lighting Bolt & Science Symbol are from the Designs on Cloud 9 “Mad Scientist Designs” which is no longer in business.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you're enjoying your week and getting some crafting in.

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Pumpkin Patch

Happy Tuesday Crafters,

Today starts the new Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Pumpkin Patch.

Photobucket

I don't know about you but when I think of pumpkin patches I think of Linus sitting in the pumpkin patch on Halloween waiting for the Great Pumpkin. So I thought it would be cute to use Linus in my project.
I searched the internet for an image I could use.   I also found the big moon background without any characters and grabbed that as well and pulled them into my Silhouette software.
I fussy cut around Linus to remove the background so I would only have Linus, the pumpkins and the sign; had to fussy cut because it was so busy I couldn't get good lines to trace what I wanted.
I removed the saying from the sign Linus is holding by putting a white square over it before I printed it out so I could stamp my sentiment on it.
The Sentiment I used for my project is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "Bewitched" stamp set.
Thought it went cute with Linus sitting in the pumpkin patch
waiting for someone to come hang out with him. :)
Used my eBrush to shade the pumpkins, leaves and edges of card base and mats.

Here are some pictures of my project:

Here's a close up.
Love being able to print and cut on my Silhouette Cameo.
I'm also happy with how the shading turned out with my ebrush
and
of course I had to add some lines and dots with my white Gelly Roll pen.
I think it helped the leaves and pumpkin stems pop out.

Here's a picture looking down the top of the card to show the inside.   I layered the moon background several times to fit in the cut so it would look complete.

Here is a picture of it closed.
Not completely happy that the sign sticks out but I couldn't change it around
so it wouldn't hang out when it was closed so it will have to do. :)
Almost didn't want to share this picture..
1. because it shows the sign hanging out and 2. because it's  bad picture with to many shadows. :(

Card Recipe:
  • "Let's Hang out!" sentiment from the Scrappy Mom's Stamps "Bewitched stamp set
  • Box card is from the Silhouette Store - A2 Fall Pumpkin Box Card ~ Design #68814
  • Edges, pumpkin and leaves were shaded with my eBrush using sharpies.

Hope you join us in this challenge.
