Scrappy Moms Stamps September 2015 Stamp Release - Warts Up

Happy Sunday Evening Crafters

Time to share another card I made with one of the new Scrappy Moms Stamps September Stamp Sets.

When I saw the sentiment "Don't make me unleash the flying monkeys" from the "Warts Up set I thought of my sister-in-law because this use to be one of her favorite sayings and if I remember correctly I think she use to have a license frame with that saying on it.   So this card was made in honor of my sister-in-law.

Here are pictures of the "Warts Up" and  "Homeland Heroes
September Stamps sets so you can see all the other fabulous sentiments that come with them.

Card Recipe:
  • Sentiment from the new Scrappy Moms Stamps ""Warts Upstamp set.
  • Witch is from from PPBN Deigns called Wicked Witch
  • I wanted to incorporate flying monkeys but unfortunately I didn't have any cut files for a flying monkey and when I searched the Silhouette  I couldn't find one there so I went to Google and searched flying monkey pictures and found one that I liked.  Copied and pasted it in my Silhouette software and proceeded to make my own background paper.   I also cut one out to add to the front of my card.   I love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope I've inspired you to get these stamps sets and have fun with them.   I also hope you're checking out my design team sister’s blogs to see what creative projects they’ve made for this release and don't forget to visit our Guest Designer is Karen from My Cup Runneth Over(http://www.karen-mycuprunnethover.blogspot.com).

Scrappy Moms Stamps September 2015 Stamp Release - Witch Way to the Candy?

Happy Friday Crafters

The September Stamps are here!  Doing the happy dance.

The stamp sets being released for September are:

For my first project I used the "Witch Way to the Candy?" sentiment from the "Warts Up?" stamp set.
Forgive me for all the pictures but it seems when I make a 3D type item I take a bunch of pictures to get different angles.

Card Recipe:
  • Sentiment from the new Scrappy Moms Stamps "Warts Upstamp set.
  • Bear Witch in a Cauldron of candy is from KaDoodle Bugs Designs Limited Edition Cutie KaToodles-Witch Way To the Candy set.
    • I pulled the jpg into my Silhouette software, traced it and then used the modify & crop to get rid of the white around it.  Then I offset it a bit and then printed it on my printer, the put it on my Silhouette mat and cut it out.
  • Box is from the Silhouette Store called "3D Spider Web Decorative Gift Box - Design #66532
    • Modified it by welding the outline of the Witch Bear in the Cauldron
  •  Lollipop brad and Candy brad placed near the sentiment are from my stash. Also used a gum drop brad and wrapped it around the center of my bow.

Zombie Birthday Card

Hello Crafters,

Last week and this week have just been plain crazy.   Last week I was having issues with my internet connection, then for two days I was dealing with malware on my laptop.  Ugg.   Why do people have to do this.  Luckily non of my personal information was compromised.  It just kept trying to make me go places on the internet that I didn't want to go, to try and get me to download "malware protection" for windows etc.  I guess I wasn't as careful as I thought,  so be careful and only download from sites you trust.
I have a Mac so I called Apple Support and they were awesome and helped me get rid of the malware.
Then this weekend was super crazy hot and I was out in the sun all three days 'cause I had to be.    So I didn't get any crafting done all weekend. :(

So now onto some crafting.   I've been wanting to share this project and other projects as well for over a week and I'm finally getting a moment to do so.

I modified a card I bought from the silhouette store to make this card for my husband's nephew's birthday.  I hope he liked it as much as I do.

Here it is all put together.  It's a pull out card.

Here it is with apart.

Here it is apart showing the back of the zombie portion.

Card Recipe:
  • Card Base is from the Silhouette Store - 7-Card Kit Birthday Design #7905
    • I modified it by using the dirt from the zombie file.
  • Zombie is from the Cute Zombie file by Paper Piecing by Nikki, pppndesigns.com
    • I copied the head, released the compound path and then deleted all the face parts so I would just have the outline so I could put it on the back of the zombie's head since you were going to see it from the back.
  • Used chalk to make the zombie and everything else look grimy and dirty.
  • "It's Zomb-ody's Birthday!" Sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Fan-tastic" stamp set and the "Happy Birthday to you!" Sentiment is from Scrappy moms stamps "Hooray for Birthdays" stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope I was able to inspire you with my project.
Have a blessed day and Happy Crafting!

Debby

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Fall Color Challenge - Brown and Orange

Happy Tuesday Crafters,

Summer is over and Fall is here so there's no better time to break out those Brown and Orange papers, embellishments, ribbons, etc and make a project for the brand new Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Fall Color Challenge - Brown and Orange.

Photobucket

I had an extreme difficult time just using brown and orange.  I cheated just a wee bit by using some yellow ink on my sunset background but I stopped there.  I really wanted to make some burgundy leaves but restrained myself.  Sentiment is from the Scrappy Mom's Stamps "The Charmed Life stamp set. The orange and brown of the hot air balloon, the dark brown leaves, acorn pieces and eye pieces are cut from paper pieces in my overflowing scrap drawers (almost each color has it's own drawer :) ).
Here is my project:

Card Recipe:
  • "Happy Fall Y'all" sentiment from the Scrappy Mom's Stamps "The Charmed Life" stamp set
  • Squirrel and leaves from Treasure Box Designs "Falling into Fall" file.
    • I enlarged one of the leaves to stamp the sentiment on.
    • Inked all the pieces with Stampin' Up Dust Durango.
    • Crushed all the leaves to make them look old and crinkly.  It also gave them some dimension.
  • Card base is odd shaped.  I made it at 8-3/4" High by 4-1/4" to accommodate the Squirrel in the acorn hot air balloon.
  • The back ground was cut 1/4" smaller than the card base and then inked using the following inks:
    • Stamps of Life - Banana
    • CTMH - Sunset & Honey
    • Stampin' Up - Dusty Durango & Tango Twist
    • Craft Smart - Orange

Hope you join us in this challenge.
