Fairy Birthday Card

Hello Crafters,

Today I would like to share with you a Birthday Card I made using one of the adorable fairies from KaDoodle Bug Designs Cute Little Fairies set and paired it with a sentiment from Craftin Desert Diva's Simply Said Set.

For the inside of the card I placed a small strip of paper at the bottom of the mat so I could add either money or a gift card that won't fall out when it's opened.

Other Card Elements:
  • Card bases from SVG Cutting Files - Postage Stamp
  • Craftin Desert Diva's "Wish Big" sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set was punched out with the EK Success 1" Scallop Circle Punch.
  • Face on Fairy is Peach Keen Stamps PK-1320 In the Garden Face Assortment
  • Fairy hair was embossed with Cuttlebug Paper Lace II set where I added Ranger Distress Ink Walnut Stain to the inside of the embossing folder before I put the hair cut out inside and embossed it.
  • Highlighted the fairy dress, shoes and headband with the Zig Wink of Stella pen.
  • Inside sentiments are from Scrappy Moms "From the Inside Out 2" and Horray for Birthdays" stamp sets.

All comments welcomed and cherished.

Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge ~ For the Birds

Happy Tuesday Crafters

It's time for the New Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday "FOR THE BIRDS" Challenge!

Photobucket

This challenge is to make a bird related project that incorporates a Scrappy Mom Stamp.

Let you're creative imaginations flow and link your project up over on the Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog.

For this challenge I created a birthday card.

I used the "Shake Your Tail Feathers" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "For the Birds!" stamp set on the outside of my card.  On the inside of my card I used "Happy Birthday to You!" from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "Hooray for Birthdays!" Set and "Hope you day soars with happiness" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "For the Birds!" stamp set.

I thought about using a cute song bird for this challenge but decided to switch gears and use a bird that is different but fun.

Here is the outside of my card.

Here is the inside.

Other Elements used in the making of this birthday card:
  • Flamingo and Sun from the KaDoodle Bug Designs "Paradise Found" file.
  • Flamingo eye and face on the sun is from Peachy Keen PKSC-28 April 2014 set.
  • Cuttlebug Happy Birthday Embossing Folder.
  • Water is from the Silhouette Store "wave border set" - Design #45725 reduced to fit the mat.
  • White Gelly Roll Pen and Metallic XPGB-M#529 Pen.
Make sure you stop by the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog for details on when the challenge ends and to link up your "For the Birds" project.   Looking forward to see what you create.

Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - We Belong Together

Happy Tuesday Crafters

Are you ready for the New Scrappy Mom Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge?

This challenge is to make a project that has items that go together such as socks/shoes, PG&J, burger & fries, etc. that incorporates a Scrappy Mom Stamp.

Let you're creative imaginations flow and link your project up over on the Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog.

For this challenge I created two cards.

My first card is a thank you card incorporating the "Sew Thoughtful" sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "The Charmed Life!" stamp set.
I thought a sewing machine, and sewing accessories belong together and were perfect for this sentiment and challenge.

Thank You Card other Elements:

  • Images from the Silhouette store
    • Sewing Machine - Split Sewing Machine Title Design #73744
    • Pin Cushion Design #43728
    • Needle & Thread Design #17205
    • Modified the Thimble from Sewing Charms Design #16889
My second card for this challenge is a little quirky.  I used the "Let's Veg-Out" sentiment from the same Scrappy Moms Stamps "The Charmed Life!" stamp set that I used for the Thank You card above.  Tomatoes, Carrots and Corn love vegging out together.

Let's Veg-Out Card other Elements:
  • KaDoodle Bug Designs "Making Vegetable Soup" file which is retiring soon.
    • Used the jpgs and print and cut feature with my Silhouette Cameo.
  • Crinkle Ribbon is from 3griljam Caribbean Splash bundle
  • Glitter paper from DCWV 6.5"x4.5" The Brights Cardstock Matstack with Glitter I received as a gift for my birthday.
Make sure you stop by the Scrappy Moms Stamps blog for details on when the challenge ends and to link up your "We Belong Together" project.   Looking forward to see what you create.
